After breakfast, meet your private Egyptologist guide and begin your first full day of sightseeing. Start at Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you will see impressive sphinxes and the colossal statue of Ramses II. Continue to Sakkara to view the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest pyramid ever built. In the afternoon, explore the Giza Plateau. Admire the three Great Pyramids and enjoy panoramic views from the plateau. You may also choose an optional camel ride. Conclude the visit with the legendary Great Sphinx before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world. Here you will see the full treasures of King Tutankhamun, colossal statues of ancient pharaohs, and thousands of artifacts covering Egypt’s long history. The modern design and vast galleries make this museum a true highlight of your journey.
Later, continue to Coptic Cairo, one of the oldest parts of the city. Explore the Hanging Church, St. Sergius Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. This sacred district is closely linked to the story of the Holy Family during their stay in Egypt.
After the tour, return to your hotel for overnight in Cairo.
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. On arrival, meet your guide and begin touring the East Bank. Visit Karnak Temple with its vast Hypostyle Hall and towering columns, then continue to Luxor Temple with its impressive statues of Ramses II. Afterwards, board your deluxe Nile Cruise. Lunch and dinner will be served on board.
Today discover the wonders of Luxor’s West Bank. Begin with the Colossi of Memnon, then visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an extraordinary monument built for Egypt’s most successful female pharaoh. Continue to the Valley of the Kings, burial place of Egypt’s New Kingdom rulers. You may enter the tomb of Tutankhamun with a separate ticket. Later, return to the cruise and sail towards Edfu.
In the morning, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Afterwards, sail to Kom Ombo and explore the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the falcon-headed god. Inside the small museum, see mummified crocodiles that once lived along the Nile. Continue sailing south to Aswan.
After breakfast, take a motorboat to Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and relocated to Agilika Island after the construction of the High Dam. Visit the Unfinished Obelisk at the ancient granite quarries, which demonstrates the incredible skills of ancient stonemasons. In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional felucca ride around the islands of Aswan. Overnight on board.
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo.
