Grand Egyptian Museum Official Opening – Postponed
The official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) — one of Egypt’s most anticipated cultural landmarks — has been postponed. Originally expected to welcome visitors in mid-2025, the new opening date is yet to be confirmed, though it is expected in late 2025 or early 2026.
This delay allows for final enhancements to exhibits, technology integration, and site infrastructure. The museum will house over 100,000 artifacts, including the entire collection of Tutankhamun’s treasures, many of which will be displayed for the first time.
